Consider or Be Consumed

You never gave us a chance,
Everything was on your time-table.
You never consider the hurt you are inflicting,
The pain you cause another.

Life is so hard,
Times are so tough,
And yet for you,
It is never enough.
You want everything right now,
At this very minute.
No, I say,
You cannot have things your way -
Stop being a malicious brat!
Start considering the hurt you're causing.

Do not tell me how to be,
Do not treat me as some ill-educated pup.
Naivety was certainly on my side
But that's over now.
The wool is gone,
You are nothing but a wolf
Who wants everything too soon.

Learn to be patient
Or it is you
Who will be consumed.
